Born in 1969 Anil Gaikwad left his Art education in between and leftIndorefor direct education from Life. Has ten one man shows to his credit and participated in many international-national group shows. his interest in art is to explore forms from different aspects of the worldly life. he He plays with colours and textures in both; painting and sculptures . He does Ceramics too. His liking for dimensional forms become more significant when he did some sculptures in metal. He enjoyes different medium as well as orgainising art events on different cause. He has many Awards to his credit including Raza Puruskar.

the works of Anil Gaikwad have a certain aura of their own, as the light emanating from the Colour pervades the canvases, resulting in the feel of sublime and serene. the light here is cool like moonlight or the light as we see during the sunset or the early morning. one may identify his images with certain terrain, valley or a landscape, yet we know for sure that he is not painting a landscape, instead he delves deep in to an innerscape, which unfolds gradually and creates a terra incognita. this is a neutral territory, an unknown place, which has been explored in a dream like state to realise, and transfuse one self with a certain tranquility. the attainment of this tranquility at a deeper level becomes a sustaining factor for the sensibilities at stake in these aggressive times. thus the journey taken toward such a terra incognita is not only for aesthetic enrichment but for emotive content. he starts from the total darkness of the canvas (created by application of the black entirely) and with application of pastels, searches for the illuminating signifiers in different tonal variations. his canvases for the viewer become a meditative place to realise one’s own feel for the nature and self, and seem to help in grasping the other reality. the grains of the canvases peering through the pastel colours are absorbing, and relate to the path traverssed.

Art House India presents ‘Eclectic Ensemble’ A Group Art Exhibition featuring 50 select works of art by 32 artists.
This group show is featuring about 50 select works of art by 32 artists who present an overview of an eclectic ensemble of contemporary Indian art.While the exhibition includes senior artists’ work including some amazing paintings by late MF Husain and KM Adimoolam, it also showcases an impressive collection of works by senior artists such as Badrinarayan, Prabhakar Kolte, Sakti Burman, Manu Parekh and Satish Gupta amongst others. There are stunning sculptures by artists Dimpy Menon from Bangalore and Srinivas Reddy from Hyderabad and paintings by Pragya Jain, Pradeep Puthoor and Ramesh Gorjala from other South Indian cities. Bengal shows works by Shuvaprasanna, Shipra Bhattacharya and Bratin Khan while West India is fielded by Nayanaa Kanodia and Anil Gaikwad. Delhi based artists include Arpana Caur, Sanjay Bhattacharya and Seema Kohli. Curated by renowned curators Sushma Bahl and Archana Sapra. The show presents a varied exposition that includes artists from across the country and age group working in varied genres and in different sizes to make it an interesting and inclusive eclectic ensemble indeed.
Art House India’s plans encompass a series of curated solo and group exhibitions, to showcase critically acclaimed artworks, across the varied media and modes from painting to sculpture to photography to video and cutting edge art. An Indo-Bangla artists’ residency involving artists from both the countries that will take place later this year in partnership with an art institute in Bangladesh, followed by exhibitions at Dhaka and Delhi is also on the cards for later this year. This will be followed by an artists’ camp to St Petersburg, Russia in 2012 and Art House India will also continue to take forward its initiative of running art classes for those keen on taking to paint and brush and learn sketching, drawing and painting; while also offering art advisory services and help build personalized collections of high quality reasonably priced authenticated works of art or commissioning as corporate gifts for interested clients and art collectors through its panel of professional experts.
